About me
Background
I create contemporary mosaic designs that feature fine attention to detail using hand-cut high-quality stained glass, Italian millefiori and other materials to add depth to my organic designs. A dedication to detail and craftsmanship, belabored to the level of artistry, elevate my craft into art.
I think of it as painting with glass.
My life-long passion for art was cultivated at UCLA and Boston University where I earned a degree in fine arts with a concentration in fiber art.
Over the years I have worked in various textile mediums including weaving, silk screening, batik, felting, quilting and embroidery.
In 2008 I began creating glass mosaics. My work is featured at the B Beamesderfer Gallery in Highland Park, NJ.
A show of new works titled “Picking up the Pieces” will open November 10, 2022 and run through January 10, 2023.
